Positives:
My mom and I love staying here due to its proximity to The Hollywood Bowl. My mom is 81 and can walk the distance to and from. We like that there is a nice restaurant at the property, but enjoyed it more when it was a steakhouse. The room is adequate for 2 people, though the bathroom was a bit tired and needed repair.
Negatives:
Check in times are always long even though we try to arrive at a non-peak time. Valet staff was so kind to retrieve something for me after I had just valeted the car.

It’s like amazed there’s lots of little gardens and pools and meeting rooms and places to duck off and beautiful old architecture. It’s a good place to get lost in.

It was located perfectly! And the beds were comfy. A big screen TV with cable and Netflix.
Negatives:
Parking is $75 a night. You are not allowed to handle your own bags. Bell service only. The rooms didn't have coffee makers. The hotel had a fridge, but fully stocked to act as a mini bar. I had to move the items out to store a few things for us. The room and bathroom are extremely small with no space to get around. The AC wouldn't go passed 77 and it was extremely stuffy. We opened the windows for air and heard the night life all night.
We stayed thru Nov. 30 which was when the annual Hollywood parade took place. We left for SoFi stadium and when we returned (not knowing) all streets leading back were closed off. We had to drive thru alleyways and finally found a scary parking garage and had to walk all the way back to our room. The pool is not heated and it closes at sunset.

The location was amazing, so close to the walk of fame, La La Land souvenir shop, tcl Chinese theatre, madam Tussaud’s, in n out, ihop as well as a bus stop and metro station.
The hotel was decorated beautifully, so old school Hollywood but felt fresh and new at the same time.
The pool was a highlight, the most beautiful swim I’ve had in years; especially at golden hour. The view of the hotel and palm trees from in the water was breathtaking.
Room was gorgeous as well, so nicely decorated with retro style orange furniture (my favourite colour), was very classy without being boring.
Negatives:
These are minor things, I still loved my stay.
1: the bed was very, very low, so if you have mobility issues or just have trouble getting up from a low bed, I’d avoid this hotel. But it may be different in other rooms.
2: No overhead lighting in my room. All the light came from lamps etc there was no bright ceiling light. I know some people prefer this, but I found it annoying. I need a bright light to wake me up and I don’t like being in a dull room. There was no natural light from outside because of a privacy screen. I went into the bathroom frequently just to enjoy the bright lights. But again, this hasn’t put me off, I’d gladly come again.
3: no laundry service. It would be so useful if there was a self service washer/dryer or housekeeping could take your clothes and wash them. You will have to find a laundromat if you wish to clean clothes here.

Staff was nice. Except I had to call the front desk twice to get help with my TV remote not working. They never sent anyone up to help despite saying they would. Also -- room service was WAAAY overpriced. If it wasn't raining I would have gone across the street.
Negatives:
Shower wasn't configured so it was easy to turn on water . Biggest complaint: I asekd for my receitpt when I left and they insisted on emailing it to me. never arrived. I tried to call to get them to send it and was given the runaround/never respond three times. Weak. I needed that receipt for work.
