Cozy, comfy, enjoyed the fireplace in the bedroom, staff very friendly, restaurant has very good food and cocktails and conveniently located for downtown Monterey.
Negatives:
No tea making facility, but that is just a British preference!
Front desk could be more welcoming. Encountered some difficulties getting information related to my bill and had to check-out without seeing all details before payment was made. In addition, payment was taken before before I had chance to review the final bill, which is of course back to front.
