Parking in front of your room impossible since people did not respect the spaces that were obviously directly in front of the first floor rooms that had those parking spaces (for elderly and disabled that were not severely handicapped).

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was ideal on the sunny day that we got (the other was overcast) in early April. Breakfast was basic, but the excellent restaurant onsite served great food both days we were there.
Negatives:
Nothing to critique. We liked the place. It was a good place to relax for a couple of days at the end of our two-week tour of California, and a good base from which to see Steinbeck's Cannery Row, the Monterey Aquarium, and to drive the beautiful 17 Mile Drive (entry $12 for the latter!). By the sea, and a convenient drive of under two hours to San Francisco airport.

The people were nice.
Negatives:
The maid never cleaned the room. The complimentary breakfast was only an apple, a granola bar, and coffee. It was in a ghetto type area. It was hard and confusing getting to the aquarium and fisherman’s wharf area. Traffic was dangerous. The hotel restaurant was very expensive for just average food.
