In the absence of a pricier resort, I always seek Residence Inn or Towneplace Suites by Marriott when traveling with food. Reason: The mid size frig/freezer, stovetop more than adequately address our dietary restrictions. The rooms are always quiet and comfortable. The self-serve breakfast is a nice bonus, not to mention the fantastic customer service always delivers.
Negatives:
It was a little clunky confirming an early check-in (2 pm) The resort was full the night before, so we could not be guaranteed such a possibility.
