I arrived and waited at the reception for more than half an hour, but none of the staff showed up. I had to leave, and I was unable to check into the hotel.

i stayed for 4 nights and only 1 time housekeeping went to clean the room. My room needed some trash to takebout and bed to change sheets but only 1 time they went in to clean.

The exterior was far, and far better updated and maintained than the room we were in (double with 2 queen beds & bath). And the location - right on the water - was almost charming. We did not walk along the water/marina with its many sailboats, which was right there, just on the opposite side of the motel. It looked lovely and well maintained.
Though we arrived at 6:30- 7:00 pm, check-in was at an exterior window rather than in the small lobby. We never had access to a lobby. The hotel asked for ID from each of us (siblings) and had a list of prohibited activities and "At-your-own-risk" safety warnings. We neither experienced any safety concerns nor observed any though the activity in the parking lot got rather noisy at times. The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) light rail was nearby and running all night so we could hear the elevated trains as they went by. We got used to that. The room was VERY basic.
I had requested handicap accessible bathroom but that was NOT provided. The bathroom needed a new tub (the fiberglass tub/shower was significantly cracked and very badly patched. I have no idea if it would have held water - it wasn't used at all. The beds were quite comfortable and up on tall metal legs and 3/4' pressed wood/plastic platforms. The floor appeared to be one solid piece of vinyl with a wood floor print. With no visible seems I speculate that this strategy was an anti-bedug design element. To our great relief, we found ZERO EVIDENCE of bed bugs! (And, in the middle of the night, I looked! THANKFULLY, None!, Whew!
Comfy beds made for solid sleep and restful nights.

Bathroom needed to be renovated. Very cheaply and sloppily built and needing to be redone. Minimal cleanliness. Check-in staff was not hospitable. Housekeeping staff was very friendly, cheerful and necessary (beds had minimum sheets, thin blankets, and only one single, small roll of toilet tissue in the bathroom. We had to find housekeeping and request a back-up 12-hours after checking-in.
