People at the desk were very friendly and helpful...the Revival bar and lounge were comfortable and inviting, great view of the DOCO plaza and Golden 1 Arena. We had breakfast and Echo and Rig on site restaurant which was delicious...and our waiter treated my wife to a "birthday treat" (see photo)

My wife enjoyed our stay at the Sawyer celebrating my wife's birthday.
We were advised upon check-in that our room had been upgraded to a balcony, room 902...very nice!
When we entered the room there was a wonderful fruit, custard, and chocolate plate with "Happy Birthday" on the chocolate.
Also was a small bottle of wine and a bottle of water.
We both fully understand the concept of a hotel room mini-bar...pay for what you take out of the mini-bar...which in this case was a small refrigerator by the coffee area.
It being my wife's birthday, we assumed that the small bottle of wine, as well as the water, was a "birthday" complimentary.
The bottle of wine did not have any label or tag indicating it was from the mini-bar.

You see where this is going?
We did not take or use anything FROM the refrigerator mini-bar.
And yet, we were charged for the wine and the water.
If you are going to charge guests for items that are NOT in the mini-bar, clearly let the guests know, and then they'll be aware that they will be charged.
Not a huge deal, but it soured our overall stay at the Sawyer.
