Negatives: The exhaust fan in the bathroom is very loud. The "pillar" where the button to open the gate is located about 30 feet from the gate. We drove right pass it (not noticebale at night at all) to the gate and the gate did not open. We had to wait until a car exits the exit gate to walk into the office to ask them to open the entry gate. I am quite sure this happens to a lot of guests.

Negatives: My name is Cristi Minjares. We recently stayed at Extended StayAmerica at hotel Circle in San Diego from May 25-27. Upon arrival we checked in at 3 PM. We asked the front clerk if she would honor the military discount for my husband he showed his military badge and she accepted it, that was the first thing that I am emailing about the second thing is to advise you of a severe inconvenience. We experience while staying at extended America in San Diego was that the fact our room had no working toilet upon arrival in room 218. As soon as we found this out, we advise the front desk, and they told us that the maintenance worker has gone home for the day, and that they would bring us a plunger. The plunger never came, and we were without a toilet the entire night until the next morning at 9 AM where I had to go and physically retrieve the plunger myself to try and unclog a toilet that was already clogged by previous guests. Adding to that, we were using the bathtub in the meantime to use the bathroom. This was a severe inconvenience as my daughter was on her period my mother was in a wheelchair, and we all needed to use the restroom at some point. We advised the front desk again that the toilet was clogged and we were told that we would be not charged for one night stay there, and that we would be moved into another room. At that point. We appreciated it the effort of the front desk manager for accommodating the situation, and we started to pack our things to move into room 220. As we packed, we realize that this was taking time away from our vacation time and a much-needed trip to the beach but we understood as the front desk made efforts to accommodate the situation to meet our needs, we packed and had to wait an additional 45 minutes for housekeeping to finish cleaning 220 before we can move our things into the room and begin our trip to the beach.

Negatives: I found out while checking in that the hotel was closing down next month, which is why the typical kitchen furnishings were not in the rooms. I didn't like the windows. I thought it was strange that the window was open when we first checked in and then discovered that it wasn't easy to operate. It seemed busted. The walls are are so thin that I could hear our neighbors above us and next to us as well people walking down the halls. When toilets around our unit flushed, it sounded like humpback whales calling.
