Arrived a bit confused as to whether I had already paid or not. The man on reception spoke very rapidly about taxes and resort fees etc and suddenly my credit card was over its limit. I hadn’t paid but the extra daily amount (resort fee) suddenly put my quoted price from Booking.com and my AUS conversion way out. I am at the end of my trip so I was paying close attention to my expenses. I understand about the taxes and resorts fees but often a hotel will just take a CC imprint to secure any extras. In this case the hotel took the money. I wonder how long it will take for the money to be back in my account.

Negatives:
Cleaning was bad, they wouldn’t even remove dirty glasses from one day to another. Service generally wasn’t nice.
The lighting in the room was nonsensical, There was no natural light and the lights at each bedside were strong and connected, so I couldn’t turn one on while my husband kept his on, for example.

Nice hotel next to the Cable Carts and good location within the city. Friendly staff. Shower/bathroom was very nice.
Negatives:
Bed was soft. Light was on in the room even if we definitely turned it down after leaving, which made us get the idea someone entered even when we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door.

Good stay if you want...
Positives:
Perfect location for every mode of transport, great hotel, very clean & modern. The fridge in our room was a massive bonus.
Negatives:
The WiFi didn’t work after our first seven days & we kept asking for help but no one really bothered. In the end we worked it out ourselves.
