Nice not great.
Positives:
The hotel is so conveniently located and we were able to walk the Embarcadero and go to Chinatown and Union Square with ease. Staff were helpful and friendly; valet parking was very efficient. They also held our luggage the day we checked out to allow us time to explore the city more before we needed to fly out, which was wonderful and saved us the fear of leaving luggage and valuables in our rental car. I truly appreciated that amenity. The room and bed were so comfortable and I absolutely love having chargers incorporated in the bedside tables! The bathroom facilities were also pleasant.
Negatives:
The only negative with this stay is that the room was quite stuffy and despite lowering the temperature on the thermostat and trying to turn up the fan to get some airflow, we could not get more ventilation or a cooler temperature. San Francisco was experiencing a heat wave during our stay, which may account for that, but the lack of airflow affected my husband's sleep quality.

Close to tourist spots and friendly, accommodating staff
Positives:
Staff was very helpful and amenities were great. I received good value for the relatively low price paid.
Negatives:
BathRoom was a bit small (European size) with a tiny sink and tub, but I knew thus beforehand so can’t blame them.

Harbor was well located for our weekend family reunion. Being a few minutes from the ferry building was a bonus.

The staff was friendly, personable and very willing to assist with what ever our needs were.

Location is good. Close to restaurants. Close to the water front.
Negatives:
1. The hotel charged me twice for the same room on different days and didn’t communicate anything about it. One payment was made through Booking, and the second one was charged directly to my card, which I had provided only for parking payment.
2. The room photo clearly showed that it would have a view of the bridge and the water, but there was no such view. The front desk staff were extremely impolite and made no effort to find a better room.
3. There are very loud air conditioners installed outside the rooms. Even if you don’t turn on your own AC, you can hear a constant loud noise from other units all night long, even with the window closed.
4. The bathroom lacks basic essentials such as cotton swabs, sponges, bathrobe, or slippers.

I liked the fact that you can borrow their bikes to explore the pier (for free). Not too far down the road, there are vendors by the pier who sell food, souvenirs, and many more goodies. There weren't many breakfast options, but the pastries and coffee/juice options were nice. There is a basketball court and pool but sadly they're closed on Sundays and every other week day and Saturday at 5pm. There is a parking lot right across the street, but it does take a little loop around to get in. It's a nice cheap parking spot regardless. The ac works well and cools the room quickly. Customer service was nice, and they helped guide me through the whole experience and recommended some sites.
Negatives:
There wasn't much lighting in the room aside from the bedside lamps. I stayed the weekend at this hotel for the reason we'd be able to use the basketball court and pool. But our room wasn't ready till 3, and they said it was already closed that Saturday, and then it was closed all day sunday. This wasn't noted in their overview or on booking.com, if it was, I'd most likely have chosen somewhere else. The room was quite small for a queen bed suite, so for 220 it wasn't all too bad.
