Negatives:
There was no hot water, ran the faucet for 5 minutes and nothing. When we checked out the front desk said to run for at least 7 minutes but no one told us at check in. There is a scented fragrance in the lobby and hallway that is overpowering and gave me a headache even though the room didn't have it, it came in through the door. It smelled like used clay floral cat litter. I could barely sleep.

Very poor
Positives:
What I liked most was that there is always a receptionist available 24 hours a day and you also need the bell to open the door, which made me feel a little safer sleeping in San Francisco.

Exceptional
Positives:
Clean, quiet, good location for my plans, you can park in the Sutter Stockton garage overnight for pretty cheap if you're out by 9:00 a.m.
Negatives:
Toilet was running and when I lifted the lid on the tank to try to fix it, a hose came loose and sprayed all over and I couldn't get it to go back where it belonged. Told desk and assume they will fix.

Positives:

Negatives:
My wife injured her leg and went to the ER. The elevator broke and they were not able to fix it, so I had to help her up and down from the room on the fifth floor.
I got her back from the ER at 2am then went out exhausted to struggle and find parking. I came back and decided to use the meter across the street in the yellow zone reading that I would have to move my car before 7am. I asked the night manager if I was correct and this was safe and he said yes so long as I move the car before 7am. I got to the car at 6:40am to find a $100 parking ticket that no one is going to help me with.

Positives:
Its very well located in San Francisco. You can hop on the cable car a block away, there are a few breakfast places around the corner.
Negatives:
Nothing to do with the hotel but there are really loads of homeless people around at night which is actually everywhere in San Francisco but you need to keep it in mind while having a mid-night stroll.
