Positives:
Great location, close to Bart, and to many walkable locations in the heart of union square. Instructions for check in sent via email. No keys/cards used, but rather a security code to enter the building and room. There is a self-service area for extra towels etc.
Negatives:
There is no housekeeping service like other hotels. When I inquired, I was informed that I can request it for an additional 95 dollars for the room to be cleaned and that one cleaning is included with the booking which happens prior to arrival. I informed them that this information is important and needs to be included on booking.com.
Hotel lobby could be better serviced even if intended to be self-service eg coffee, snacks.

Housekeeping for additional 95 dollars
Positives:
Unfortunately, through no fault of the Hotel a lot of transient homeless and drug dealers were located just outside. The staff were extremely helpful but the noise outside at night made it very hard to sleep. I finally got earplugs to sleep the remaining nights. It would be very nice if the hotel upgraded the windows to curb the noise level. I never felt unsafe going outside.
Negatives:
Updated windows to curb the noise level, especially the street facing windows.
Other than that, it was a decent hotel.

Positives:
The bed was super comfortable. The gal who came to move my room after heater alarm would not shut off in my room at 1:00 am, after three hours of it she finally moved me to my new room.
Negatives:
No breakfast, coffee maker inoperable. No microwave/fridge. Mentally I’ll man camped outside front door, screaming nonsense. Addicts on to street mining fentanyl, filthy streets. Horrible area. Scared to go out after dark.
