Very comfortable bed, great value for money, staff were helpful, the restaurant downstairs is super nice and delicious! Others mentioned the noise but with the fan and white noise machine I didn’t have any issues.
Negatives:
The location (border of tenderloin) was a bit difficult for a solo female traveller however just part of being downtown SF. No fridge in room and no breakfast was annoying as hard to walk to shops every morning to get yoghurt.

I think this hotel is a good example of two stars hotels , the room itself was decent but since there is no AC it make me feel chocked , there is a fan though which makes it better to sleep but still not enough. The staff were very friendly and nice especially that one nepali guy he was very welcoming. The location was a problem to me honestly because i am not comfortable around that many homeless people.
Also why there is a serving fee

The mid-day staff were accommodating and pleasant. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated.
Negatives:
The evening staff was creepy. The morning staff was rude. The room was saturated in chlorine and made me sick. No refrigerator. The carpet in the hallway was too thick for suitcase wheels.

Positives:
The rooms weren't big but still nice. Beds and bathroom were comfortable and offered shelving space, which I love. The staff was also very accommodating and let us check in early.
Negatives:
The hotel is right in the city, only 2 blocks from Union Square. The windows weren't that great insulated and from 11pm to 1.30am we've had a loud street party going on, which felt like, we went to a club with our 8 and 4yo. No other rooms on a different side were available. I know SF downtown is noisy, but that was beyond a big louder. I loved the hotel and the staff, but just the surroundings, with constant yelling, cussing and music until the early whee hours, made me question if I've made the right choice for my family, by picking this location. The hotel needs to invest into better noise canceling windows and the city of San Francisco definitely needs to get control of the situation outside on the streets. The circumstances are ruining business for all the hotel owners and workers.
