Elegant old hotel downtown. Has been well taken care of and tastefully renovated. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. We arrived early but were accommodated immediately.

The first room we were checked into did not have a king bed which we had requested and paid more for. However this was quickly rectified

I enjoyed the space as it was very clean when I arrived.

It is not a bad thing, but I found it a little odd that they come in every day to the room to change things. Other hotels I have been to come into the space every couple of days, but they came in every day. Also, they do not offer laundry services. Their website says they do, but they do not.

Room is nice and the bathroom is very large. Location is okay. You can take 5 min walk to take the cable cars or BART. They offer free coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning which is a big plus.
Negatives:
Nothing to complain. Just very limited amenities. No laundry room.

Comfortable stay
Positives:
Modern decor, quiet and relaxing property. Fast lifts, have a gym at the lower ground floor. Plenty of power points and mirrors so that if someone is using the bathroom, you can use them to get yourself ready for the day. What you see in the photos are exactly what you get.

No major dislike.

It’s a nice hotel to...
Positives:
The rooms are spacious and well furnished. There are good views of the city from the rooms.
Negatives:
The location is in the Tenderloin and there are homeless people very nearby. Not recommended for a solo traveller. There was no hot water for the shower on one occasion. They had tea and coffee in the lobby, but there was no milk for tea - not in that they ran out, but they don’t offer it.

Location was just on the edge of where it’s acceptable to walk. I wouldn’t recommend walking anywhere south of this hotel. But north from here was fine
