Positives:
This is my go-to every time I’m in SF now, REALLY good location for tourists

Very good
Positives:
I didn’t expect it to be in the lobby, so maybe that was a little surprising. I also think that the fact I chose the Triton as breakfast was included, I might have expected something more substantial. From a European point of view, a choice of cold meats/cheeses could have been offered. The location didn’t bother me, but « breakfast included » in the room price to offer only a very light breakfast of muffin, or cereal I think is too limited.
Negatives:
Wider choice, station with bread and jam, cold hams, cheeses, preserves, a toaster for bread. The choice was too limited, and I would have expected a bigger breakfast as it was also included in the room rate.

Positives:
Location is fantastic as I was spending a lot of time in Chinatown, Nob Hill and North Beach.
Negatives:
First night we reported toilet not flushing. Were advised after requesting another room that only a 2nd floor room with a double bed was available (a super downgrade) and we’d have to check out and check back in and move ourselves at midnight. However, we were promised that facilities repairman would be up first thing in the morning. In the meantime we were instructed to use the restroom in the lobby which is also in the adjoining restaurant next door. Toilet not repaired that day. Reported it and was told it would be fixed. Finally it was repaired for the final night of our stay. When checking out I expressed my disappointment and the young man politely started to blow me off so I requested at least a return of the “resort fee.” A week later they returned one night’s resort fee. Somehow that seems inappropriate for not having toilet facilities 2/3 of our stay. Room was small, as expected. Street noise minimal because we were on a higher floor (the one with the non-functioning toilet!) but it is a noisy area with an ally bar next door.

Positives:
The location and pet friendly but
Negatives:
I am extremely frustrated with my recent stay! The hotel charged me for a $31 movie rental that I never purchased! and their explanation for the charge was absolute nonsense! I didn't order anything, yet they insisted it was valid without providing any real proof.
The lack of accountability and the dismissive attitude from the staff made the situation even worse. Guests shouldn't have to fight over charges they didn't make.
What a shame!

Loved the true San Francisco vibe, happy hour and the location was excellent.
