The view, the room looked nice .

Positives:
Great location. Walking distance to public transit and many restaurants and coffee shops. We chose this hotel due to the proximity to Punchline comedy club.
Everything in the hotel looked very high-end and luxury. The elevators are spacious, quiet, and very fast. They have water filter stations on every floor to refill water bottles for free. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and stocked.
Negatives:
The beds were extremely firm, borderline uncomfortable. Pillows were either too firm or too soft. Water pressure in the shower was low.
There are lights along the base of the beds that light up when you walk past—helpful in the middle of the night, except the ones on the bed across from me came on multiple times (perhaps the blanket triggered it somehow?) and woke me up.

The staff at the main entrance are extremely rude since we arrived he was making a problem with taking our car , not welcoming at all . and the reception only had one person working who spent over an hour on the phone helping with a booking while guests were waiting. The luggage helper was also very rude, chasing me for a tip and sarcastically shouting “Appreciate it!” — nowadays, who even carries cash for tips?
The shower was honestly the worst I’ve ever experienced — absolutely zero water pressure. Overall, a terrible experience. I would never go back to this place.

Comfortable room, nice views of the bay. Clean, modern hotel.
Negatives:
We were charged for an item from the mini bar. As we did not use the mini bar, I have dropped two emails to The Jay to ask for clarification and, if an error has been made, that they correct it. Whilst a small amount of money, my impression of their service is heading south given it has been a number of weeks since my initial correspondence, Disappointing and is rapidly souring my experience!
