The staff is excellent. Hard-working and personable professionals.
Negatives:
You will pay through the teeth for this location. Add on expenses are too much: $78/day parking, $30/day resort fee, $8 cups of coffee. Two nights here ended up being over $700 for a standard king room. Too much! Union Square is improving, but the area is still awash with community members who need serious help and access to toilets and other basic services. It’s still a heartbreaking scene.

Rooms are beautiful. Beds very comfortable; loved the pillows. Our city/Union Square view was fantastic! Location on Union Square was perfect. Close to everything including BART, which was very convenient. Being Bonvoy members, we were given two very cool water bottles, two cable car tickets, a free wine coupon at the wine bar at Macys. A great stay! Will definitely be back.
Negatives:
Buffet breakfast was very expensive; $40.00, so we skipped that. Had a few drinks at the bar; $34.00 for a Lemon Drop and one beer. Seemed a bit high to us.

My Suite was amazing! My grandson suite had problems with the toilet that wasn’t fixed. He called and they came up once, but still didn’t flush properly. I told them when I was checking out, but they didn’t offer any discounts. They should’ve offered something.
Negatives:
Toilet in suite. They should tell you about all the extra fees when you order room service. They got me one morning, but I went downstairs and picked up my food at a reasonable price.
