Positives:
I liked the location, most of the staff and many of the other guests.
Negatives:
First and foremost none of these units have air conditioning. I understand older hotels by the coast so not have them. But the air is so humid and trying to sleep well was impossible. The higher end units ceiling fans are in the sitting area , not above the bed which makes it worse. I originally stayed in the lower priced units at the beginning and the main window has a lock which prevents you from opening them more than 2 inches. Even though you have a sliding door to the balcony in the higher end units, the bed is 20 feet away from it and it doesn't keep you cool.
So if you're a cold blooded person who tolerates heat well, congratulations. But for us others, no good.

Positives:
Enjoyed the location and had the fire pits for happy hour. They provided the wood and lit the fire. We ran out of wood but were happy to return the kids for bed. The pools were heated and had a hot spa which was shelter by the glass in a really windy afternoon. Kids loved the pool. The location was great with only being a 10min drive to view the elephant seals- a highlight.
Had microwave and fridge which was good for our basics needs.
Negatives:
It was very dated and old, no where to place luggage with 2 kids and 2 adults. We were stuck up the back in the carpark pretty much, and really no through access to the front/beach area except pass reception or along the road.
