Sonesta is pet friendly! Pets weighing less than 80 pounds are welcome. A non-refundable pet fee will be charged to the guest’s account upon check-in based upon the length of stay -- 6 nights up to $75, 7+ nights up to $150. Proper medical certification specifying that all vaccinations are up to date must be available upon request. Pets may be left unattended in your room. However, if you leave the premises of the hotel with your pet unattended in the room, the pet must be in a crate or pet carrier while you are gone.

Sonesta Simply Suites Orange County Airport has a decent location and value, but is a little bit run down. Fortunately, the staff is very welcoming and works hard to make the stay enjoyable. We like the full kitchen, the spacious room, and the large desk. The laundry facility and the gym were also very appreciated.
Negatives:
The fan in our bathroom didn't work, but the hotel replaced it the same day we notified them. The room is generally clean, but the carpet is a bit old and musty. They might need to do deep cleaning more regularly - especially since many guests seem to bring pets to the hotel.

There was not alot to like.
Negatives:
Food left in the refrigerator from the last guest that was in the room i paid for. None of the outlets worked. I re eieved no maid service for the entire time I was there.

Manager would NOT help us get into our room and was extremely rude. Young short Asian girl who told me she was the manager when I asked to speak with one, she was aware we drove all the way from Arizona and it was my birthday. It ruined our entire trip and we had no where to stay as it was a Friday night and late and everything was sold out. This hotel and this manager made us have a horrible experience and we will NOT be returning. Also you need to change how you expect forms of payment.. absolutely bullshit no cash and no form of card???? How the hell do you even stay here!!!

The staff was so friendly and helpful. They really went above and beyond for us. Starting with the first night here. We got our room and there was only one bed. I selected the wrong room on the app. They were kind enough to switch us to a room with two beds at no extra charge. We picked Simply Sonesta Suites for the location. It is the perfect location because it is close to my job and we are apartment hunting in Costa Mesa. My sister and I have been extending our stay every 4-5 days since the last week in August. That said with each new reservation we sometimes would have to change rooms due to availability. However, Hotel Staff ( Rosa and Raymond ) especially knew we preferred the room with double occupancy and made every effort to accommodate us. We decided to stay here until we find our new permanent place to live but I was not able to secure a new booking before they sold out of rooms. It looks like we will have to find some place else for now. Not looking forward to that!!!

Positives:
They allowed pets, Beds were very comfortable and kitchette was nice to have, complete with full size refrigerator and sink. Also there were dishes to use instead of paper plates! microwave was clean and so was the refrigerator.
Negatives:
Room smelled like it needed to be cleaned! I think the carpet was very dirty and floor was sticky in some places. The sink leaked on the turn on handle. No dish soap to use to wash dishes or stuff to use dishwasher. Only 2 tea bags and one coffee for my 3 day stay. Shower was awful, had mold or black stuff on soap shelf. Towels were thin but ok. furniture was old and the lamp shade was tattered with holes and rips in it! There was a frame on the wall empty and sticky areas on desk. The TV remote had no batteries and no backing to hold them in,tried to call front desk and phone didnt work. Had to go to desk to get batteries and they never fixed my phone.
