location central to Santa Monica experience. Renovated hotel w retro vibe. Staff most friendly and professional. Beds very comfortable.
Negatives:
poor housekeeping communication for 1/2 of stay. Had to ask for room towel change. 3 persons in room, only prepared for 2. Had to ask for coffee pot/coffee., otherwise coffee after 7 am charged $10. Valet charge for hotel guests $70.

Bedroom was nice with a good bed and air conditioning but with a very tiny bathroom. The location is great when you plan to stay on the westside but a bit of a drive if you want to see more of LA.
Negatives:
The staff was not what should be expected from a Leading Hotels of the World property. They forgot to service the second room I booked for my family, stunningly send us away at 8:30pm when we wanted to have a drink outside while other guest were still sitting there. The front desk clearly wasn’t capable to deal with issues and came across arrogant. The valet attendant used my car to pick up something from another guest’s car. It

Great place to stay when...
Positives:
The Georgian Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel with lots of nice little touches throughout the property. It's like an Old Hollywood movie set. The location is absolute perfection with the beach directly in front and most everything in Santa Monica within walking distance. My room was beautifully decorated in Art Deco style and spacious with a very comfortable bed. I'm not a fan of hotel carpet so I loved the hardwood floors and area rug. There was also very little ambient noise outside my room. The staff were wonderful, from the welcome with a beverage at check-in to the restaurant staff to the bell staff. They couldn't do enough for you. I also want to give a big shout-out to Bliss Beach which I used via the hotel website to arrange a beach day -- it was the highlight of my trip and the perfect way to enjoy the beach. I booked the Little Lounge experience for a half day and I would've booked an entire day had I known how fantastic it would be. The main restaurant is on the veranda and terrace at the front of the hotel and is a lovely little oasis that takes full advantage of the hotel's location and views and serves delicious meals. I didn't get to visit the downstairs reservation-only bar/restaurant but I'll rectify that on my next stay.
Negatives:
I really only have minor quibbles about occasionally slow service at the restaurant and bar, due in part to the popularity of the hotel as a spot to see and be seen. The fitness center is small but not an afterthought--besides which, in a spot like Santa Monica with unbelievable weather/beaches you can get in plenty of exercise.

A cozy hotel with a beautiful interior in retro art deco style and a cozy atmosphere of the 20s. Every detail of the interior is well thought out and perfectly implemented.
Negatives:
Unfortunately, the restaurant menu is very meager. Breakfasts are great, but there is nothing to eat at other times, which is a pity. The salads offered during lunch were an absolute disappointment, and there was no hot food at all.
