Positives: Room was great and the price to match but, the bathroom had Luke warm water and the bathtub switch was removed with a paper towel crammed in it as a replacement so that was gross.
Negatives: Bathroom

Negatives: Place was a dump. Grounds were in need of landscaping. Place needed a paint job. The door to our room was wide open when we finally found it. There wasn't even a real number on the door. We got an ADA room, (not required, but fine). The bathroom door was obviously not made for water, the bottom was all rotted, there were holes in the back, blow dryer was in pieces, barely hanging on the wall, and not operable. And it was $134 dollars. Not a good value.

Turned out OK, but the place needs a lot of work.

Positives: Pulling up first impression, "this is cozy", not far from the beach and close to everything shopping nation brands (7eleven,CVS, Target, Costco etc). It's a 3 story building with a pool but unfortunately at the time no working elevator. We had a nice small balcony that faced the ocean and although it was obstructed view, it still was nice. In the room, small table/bench, 2 end tables, TV, queen bed, table w/2 chairs, ac, mini fridge and micro, and there is a restroom directly to the left as you enter. The table super sturdy, heavy even. The ac blew nice and cold, it was your regular motel style ac. There isn't anything in particular in the room that stands out as disgusting it just gave "motel" vibes. I mean, I've been to worse places on purpose, but for the price point you'd expect just a little more care. I really did like that the bed was comfy and that both the fridge and microwave were clean. On-site vending machines and laundry machines. ++ NO BUGS **Love pasta? Gusto's right next door, amazing! They also do take out. Going into Monterey? Kona's Steak and Seafood, its a must.
Negatives: Well the bed as comfy as it was, seemed like the linens weren't changed. Also there was a greasy spot on the head board from a previous tenant. The carpet, is in need of a super deep clean, like replace deep clean. 2 walls seemed as if there once was pictures/paintings hung but then removed and never replaced. You can see their outline. A little mold in the bathroom area. So its not terrible by any means just seems that noone cares no more about the details. Couldn't swim why? Occupied by unsupervised kids all the time. And its not that I dont mind sharing but I didnt want to be responsible should something happen while we were pool side. There was dog poop every single day at the bottom of the rear steps. We brought our own linens and cleaning supplies as usual so it wasnt a big deal. Would I recommend this place?! For sure, if your visiting the area on a budget (even though for the price point it could have been a bit more taken care of).
