Very good
Positives:
The location was great! Walking distance from restaurants and shopping. The room was really nice! Clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. I would stay here again if I get a chance to return to the Sonoma area. Especially to see the new lobby area!
Negatives:
Not the fault of the hotel, but the lobby was being remodeled. I can tell it is going to be beautiful when completed! We did have some noisy neighbors come in at 2:00 am in the morning. They settled after awhile. I am not sure if there was staff available at night to assist with that issue? Other then that, everything was great!

Rooms were very nicely styled and big. The hotel is ideally located near the Sanoma plaza. Staff were great and handled some (unfairly) rude hotel guests well.
Negatives:
No issues - the hotel was undergoing renovations so breakfast was a fairly basic buffet, but it was more than good enough for us!

Room decor was very nice. Sliding door opened onto the pool.
Negatives:
TV did not work for the first night. Made a second request next day and it was fixed. Floor lamp in room did not work it too was fixed for second day of stay. Vending machines were empty for entire stay. Ice machine missing grate. Had to use one hand to hold onto ice bucket and other to operate the machine. Breakfast was available in temporary office while construction underway but had to be eaten in room since there was no space in breakfast area.

At the price we paid...
Positives:
The location was fantastic. It was walking distance to the plaza and we went to two wine tastings, Buena Vista and Bartholomew, which were both 10 minutes away.
Negatives:
It was under remodeling construction at the time, so the lobby was a makeshift room. The breakfast was very marginal. Charging for parking in the outdoor parking lot was unnecessary. Our air conditioner never quite got the room cool enough.

The location of the Best Western for accessing locations in Sonoma can't be beat.
Negatives:
Took forever to check in, due to the remodeling that was going on. Supposedly it was system upgrade, but because we booked two rooms, it took twice as long. Not sure why
The "breakfast" was forgettable and had to beg for an additional 30 minutes to check out. Not much for your $500/night.
