Less than one week before our reservations, we were informed our reservations were being cancelled as the remodel has not been completed. The only other comment was "sorry" with no suggestions for substitutes, etc. Very poorly handled by management!

Positives:
I stayed 3 days on the first floor here. The location is wonderful, right off the freeway. The front desk was very eager to please on the few instances where I needed their assistance. The breakfast was very typical for any hotel you stay at these days, and wasnt anything special, but it had a wide variety of options and a large room to sit and enjoy it. There is a plethora of parking right in the front of the hotel. This wasnt a lavish hotel by any standards, but for the price of this place it is easily worth the money you pay to stay here.
Negatives:
The couple things I would complain about are the toilet and the television. Most hotels these days have a basic, slow, hard to use tv, but when I got here it was difficult to figure out how to use the remote. It didnt have any input settings on it and the tv was stuck on HDMI 2, but the cable box was plugged into HDMI 1 and when I looked at the back of the t.v. the 2 port plug had been removed, so I couldnt even put the HDMI cord into the other port. The t.v. has a little joystick underneath in the middle that I hadnt been able to find until I called the front desk, and he explained how to operate it. I thought it was just a power on button. The toilet is a pressure assist and when you flush it water sprays up onto your bumbum. For my profession I am a plumber and those are meant for commercial use, so a normal toilet lid does not work on it which is what is installed. When you lift the lid it wont stay up and falls back down. Not a big deal, I just had to sit when I peed or you can pee on the seat if you dont care about cleanliness I suppose. One more thing is that the walls are very thin here! My neighbors were having a conversation at 1 A.M. and I could hear their entire conversation.

We liked the pool area and we liked that we could bring alcoholic drinks to the pool area.

The word 'spa' was used in the description. There was no spa. The location was in an industrial park - nothing romantic about that! The staff was very friendly, but young and inexperienced. I redeemed points for this stay. I would not have PAID my own money to stay here.

The staff was great, very service oriented. The room was extremely nice. It was very strange to see a spa tub in the room but a great idea. The room received the lowest rating, although good, because there was an incessant hum. Not sure if interior or exterior to the room but it didn't stop. I was away most of the time so I didn't bother to find out the origin. The breakfast was much more than I expected. Excellent variety.
