Felt very unsafe outside. Noisy inside. No way is this a 3.5 star hotel. All common areas outdated and warn

Only thing that was descent was the lobby and friendly staff.
The hotel is stuck in the 80Ã‚'s, it was musty and just felt dirty. We were considering paying more money just to stay at a different hotel. This is not a 3.5 star hotel, more like 1. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
The best thing was the proximity to the airport.
It definitely was NOT what I expect from a Crowne Plaza. A guy smoking pot at the entrance, no shuttle, even though it showed on the website. Carpeting was dirty throughout, room was loud.
Love the period decor! Overall speared clean except as noted below.
The air vent in the bathroom has decades of dust in it. It needs to be replaced. The wall paper in said bathroom was loose and needs to be removed. The public areas needed to be vacuumed.
Staff was very rude
The ladies making breakfast were very attentive and asked us if you were doing well several time. The front desk check-in was smooth and the people were very friendly and helpful. The entire staff that we made contact with were always smiling

The clerk who checked me in and helped me the first night when I could not make it into town, do to a covid situation in my family.
many.....my room was humid and hot. I was offered to change rooms, but was sick from being out late and eating something bad. the clerk who i first reached the first night to let them knw i just could not make it down - no show night 1, res is cancelled.
The wifi was down it he entire hotel. The place was not just dirty but sticky. The rooms and carpet are run down and filthy.
Nothing to like
The hotel is not a 3 1/2 star hotel. The decor is dated and dirty. The first room they gave us had not been cleaned - unmade beds and dirty, used towels in the bathroom. There were also people drinking and smoking in the parking lot.
Business center access
No shuttle from airport- I checked before booking, but they had not updated from last year, so I assumed shuttles had resumed as they had for surrounding hotels- my mistake, but the extra $70 for lyft was unexpected. Will find shuttle service next layover
The staff is exceptionally outstanding!!
