They cancelled my reservation before I got there even though they had my CC #. They overbooked . They called the Hampton Inn next door and I got a room for $161 instead of $90. I have a call into the La Quinta manager to try to get the $71 difference paid to me. If Bookings can help I would appreciate it.

Location was great. Facility appears to have been upscale at some point in time.
Negatives:
There was no Kleenex in room, and no backup roll of toilet paper, and only one bar of soap in the bathroom. The Front Desk clerk gave me one of each. My wife asked me to go back to get another roll of toilet paper. The Front Desk refused my request, because there wouldn't be enough for everybody, if they gave us that extra toll. Also, one morning there was a lack of breakfast items (eggs,etc.). The next morning, there were no cups of any kind (coffee or juice cups)in the breakfast area. Our room did not have water cups. This LaQuinta appears to face a variety of supply issues.
We were shocked to discover the hotel's swimming pool was out of order, with dark, brackish water in it. Since it's after Memorial Day, hotel swimming pools are usually open. I wondered why this property showed lower room rates than what was offered by other properties nearby. Now I can understand. I hope they can make the necessary improvements there.

There was a toilet plunger next to the toilet on top of a plastic bag. We had to use it three times
There was hair on the wall of the shower. The evening receptionist was upset that we rang the bell twice to get her attention and said she heard us the first time after more than a couple of minutes between rings. I asked for a new room key as we locked ourselves out. She took a deep breath and gave us a new key. I said thank you for your help I appreciate it and she did not reply or acknowledge me. The next morning in front of a manager she greeted me after a bit of a stair. I greeted her back. She had a cane and was moving slowly but did not seem emotionally stable. There was chipped paint stain on the ceiling and bed cover. We did not receive bath towels after a cleaning and used hand towels in the morning to shower. We will not return and would be hesitant to use La Quinta again.

we did have a bad expirience the first day with the person in charge of the food, didnt care about refilling anything, juice machine was broken, But next day, there was another person in charge and she was refilling evrything really fast

I made a request to get early Check-in because I was working late the day before and I needed sleep when I got to the motel the old lady with the cane was helping me Check-in she said they didn't get no request and that's not their responsibility I don't know what's with all the attitude I told her don't worry about it I'll be back at 3 o'clock when I came back she was still throwing an attitude I don't know what her not wanting to work maybe she should go get another job to stop wasting our time there's no value in that for us

The front desk customer service when I check in the swimming pool is full of algae some of the property needs to be attended to with maintenance on one of the doors that didn't want to open and also the grounds need to be picked up and why don't they get more workout equipment and what in the hell is going on with the breakfast it's either hit or miss on the daily basis And the housekeeping didn't change out my towels or my sheets and my bedding and linen they just folded it up and remade the bed what am I paying for this value if I'm not getting it

The breakfast service was so bad. When I went to take breakfast on 8:30, all food was gone. Many customers were left with hungry.

The fact that the hotel ran out of things was inexcusable. No Kleenex or regular coffee pods for rooms. No cups in lobby for coffee. No butter both days for toast. Ran out of eggs second day. They said because it was just after the holiday.
