It was very musty and not clean. We had to wait almost two hours for our room to be ready after check in. When it wasn’t ready, we resorted to requesting a different room. The a/c was very loud & the room door didn’t close completely leaving a big gap. Let’s not forget the possum in the hallway. The exterior doors were left wide open which allows any person or animal to wander in. We did not feel safe or clean. It was really disappointing. It was also painfully obvious that they were short staffed. I’ve never written a bad review for a hotel, but I feel this one warranted it.

Upon arrival we were given three rooms two of which were not clean and when walking in the beds were slept in and dirty towels were all over the floor. The elevator is broken telephones did not work ,stained ceiling tiles missing door knobs and every hazard you could imagine.

The staff was very nice at the front counter. The male employee that was there when we checked in was very friendly and helped us as soon as I told him my concerns with the room. The rooms themselves were not bad at all. The rooms had all the appliances, big screen tv, shower and bathroom were nice and clean. The beds were comfy.
Negatives:
Everything outside of my room! The parking lot is horrible, the hallways are disgusting, the stairwell is nasty. For a smoke free hotel it felt as though I smoked an entire pack by the time I climbed the stairs to our room. Took my young children with my wife and I on a little 2 night getaway for our anniversary and was instantly disappointed when I pulled into the parking lot. Between the smoke smell and the dog crap smells that filled the hall ways, I would have rather camped in a tent somewhere else.

The lodge was clean. About the only good thing I could say. For $139 a night I would have expected to have a lot better service. We were short a towel. They wouldnt give us another one. There were only one flat pillow per person. I asked for another roll of toilet paper the front desk didnt have any and no key to the housekeeping to get us one. Sorry they wont be in until 7 tomorrow. Come on make sure your front desk is provided what the guest need. On top of that the key cards only worked one time so I had to keep going and getting new ones. I get its a holiday weekend but I am very unhappy with what we got for how much we paid.

The staff bent over backwards...

Property and building is in poor condition. Example they had a tissue paper stuffed in the pep hole of the door, huge gap at bottom and side of door allowed light and sound into the room. very noisy at night. sounded like construction site all night up stairs.
