Ramada by Wyndham Newark/Wilmington

Negatives: The building and furnishings are old and worn out, but that isn't the staff's fault.

Negatives: They gave my family and I a dirty room that didn’t get in a clean in 8 months .. the beds were disgusting .. bathroom was unclean.. moldy shower walls… broken shower head.. the staff needs to work on customer service.. the only one that was concerned about the room condition was a nice housekeeper who gave my wife a broom and mop and cleaning supplies to clean our room…

Negatives: First night staying there the room they give us was never clean. My family and I slept on dirty bed uncharged sheets from a previous guest who stayed over 8 months I informed by my housekeeper.. that I had to ask to use the mop and broom to clean my room.. it was disgusting.. tv wasn’t working.. bathroom was dirty and moldy… they changed us to another room and it stank so bad of nicotine that my grandpa couldn’t breathe in that room.. the staff were unfriendly.. they didn’t show concern of the situation we were dealing with.. worst stayed ever.. never again…

Negatives: Two major issues which Would have been a deal breaker if I had known in advance about these problems at this Ramada. Firstly guests are not informed in advance via email when making the reservation that there’s no elevator at this Ramada which I asked the front desk person about when checking in and she said it’s clearly stated on the website that there’s no elevator which seems to be patently false. I never saw any information about a lack of elevator anywhere which guests should be informed about via email, text, etc. when making the reservation that this property has no elevator, only stairs to the upper level rooms. This is a huge and serious problem for people who are disabled or elderly people. Another big negative is (which was not updated on this Ramada‘s webpage) that the fitness center was shut down, again not updating by email or on this Ramada‘s webpage! Another very serious problem is my reservation was pre-paid in advance for an extended stay, yet the front desk employee deactivated the room key shutting me out from my room despite confirming my updated reservation by the General Manager to let her know that I was extending my stay and had pre-paid for it well in advance! It’s glaringly clear that employees at this Ramada need to be professionally trained specially since an employee has no clue what the other one is doing in terms of reservations and causing guests unnecessary stress due to severe lack of oversight on part of the owners as well as employees and management!!

Negatives: Nothing

Negatives: Need more foodoptions but otherwise ok

Negatives: I booked this place for the pool and they only have pools available on weekends unfortunately and the breakfast could have been better and timely. And I haven’t received my incidental fee yet.

Negatives: the place definitely needs some TLC....breakfast was disappointing...

Negatives: No kettle in room, only coffee maker. Never any water hot enough at breakfast to make tea with.

Negatives: Nothing 8

Negatives: Some traffic noise. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming and it starts later on weekends so I wasn’t able to use it as I had to leave the property at 7 am each day. There was coffee in the lobby though.
