Negatives: When we arrived, we discovered empty boxes of hard seltzer above the refrigerator and the extra pillow was stained. Because we were traveling for my mother's funeral, we decided to not express concern about this. However, we continued to find issues - a piece of glass in the bed, a used maxi pad in one of the garbage cans, and the side of the futon was covered with a sticky substance. We reported these issues to the front desk and were told housekeeping would come the next day. The room was not cleaned the next day and we were then told that it was our fault for hanging up the "come back later sign." This was confusing because the opposite side of the sign says "all set," implying that guests can either ask housekeeping to return later or not at all, depending on which side is hung up. So we then did not hang the sign the next day and the room was serviced. That night, my partner slipped on the floor (despite using the mat) because it was so slick and ended up breaking his toe, which has not healed over a month later. The staff were not sympathetic to this and we just kind of had to deal with it. We ended up staying for a week because my mom passed over labor day weekend and when we needed to extend our stay, the staff were rude because we booked on a 3rd party site and told us to "figure it out."
