What an AMAZING hotel! The decor was gorgeous and unique. Not to mention the architecture of the building itself and its historical significance. As soon as we pulled up from the airport, the bellman met us at the car and grabbed our bags for us to help up the stairs, which was wonderful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and housekeeping kept our room clean throughout our stay without even having to make a request which exceeded our expectations. We ate at Dirty Habit twice for breakfast throughout our stay, which had delicious food and great service. We would have ate there more, but there are tons of other great restaurants across the street and within walking distance from the hotel. Wine hour was a great addition, and we made it there every night! Bryan took great care of us the first part of the week, making sure our glasses stayed full throughout the hour. He quickly noticed that I liked prosecco, so he made sure there was always some on ice for me! And later in the week when he wasn't there, Markos did a great job after. We were sad to leave when our stay was over. The staff certainly made us feel like family, and we hope to come back again and again. Thank you Kimpton for an incredible experience!

The location is awesome for sightseeing. It's such an elegant building and it is well maintained, though our particular room was really just about as small as you can have for two people. The staff are friendly.
Negatives:
When I called to ask about parking, I was told there would be in-and-out parking service during the time of my stay. That may have been true at the time I called but I should have been told that that service was being discontinued just days before the dates of my reservation. If you drive, you're now on your own for figuring out parking unless you want to pay for expensive valet service. Also, on a less important note, how about putting in a vending machine for soda, water, etc.?

The pillows smelled like pee, the room smelled very old musty and dusty. There was so much dust on the clock and phone. There was no body wash. The floors felt damp. House keeping tried to come in before 9 am for 12 pm check out. It felt like a cheap motel 6. We came just to visit this hotel and were so so disappointed. We had to shower immediately after leaving because we felt so dirty. The phone didn't even work in the room to call down. It's like we were shunned to the basement.
