Positives: Lo
Negatives: Did not have good signage for the valet parking. When we arrived, there were cars parked in front of the hotel and there was nowhere to leave our car to get the valet parking and there’s no additional parking signage.

Positives: I had been to this Marriott several times in 2024 and 2025, and I thought it would be nice to start 2026 in the nation's capital. The hotel did not disappoint me, despite an initial hiccup involving a cold room (room 504). The room transfer (to room 540) occurred without a problem, and a complimentary breakfast was thrown in for the inconvenience. The new room was warm, and it featured the usual Marriott amenities, including a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and several blends of coffee. The hotel's staff were quite attentive. Checking in and checking out went smoothly. The restaurant and bar staff were very courteous and professional, answering questions regarding menu items and drinks. The complimentary breakfast had a value of about $41 and included French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, juice, tea, and water. This was a breakfast that left one full, not just a bun or biscuit and stale fruit. The hotel is a short walk from several very nice restaurants, including Ted's Bulletin and a rooftop restaurant that features cuisine by Marcus Samuelsson, the renowned Harlem chef. The Red Line's NoMa Metro station puts the hotel in close proximity to much of DC proper and the surrounding northern Virginia and Maryland suburbs. There are also public transportation buses that make stops near the hotel. The area appears to be one where there has been considerable recent construction. It felt safe and welcoming to tourists and business travelers. As one who likes to nibble, it was great for a 7-Eleven to be next door. Nothing like low-cost munchies! If you want good hamburgers made right before your eyes, a Five Guys is across the street from the hotel. If you like six-inch or foot-long hero sandwiches, a Subway is across the street as well.
Negatives: I did put in a request for an additional box of tissue that went ignored and the building engineer who was supposed to check the HVAC console in room 504 never came. Room 540 was very nice, but when I showered it was hard to keep water from coming on to the floor, even when I closed the shower door tightly. One bar of soap was not enough since it is the flu season and handwashing is encouraged. However, this was quickly addressed by the front desk staff who provided additional bars of soap.
