Not the standard 'free breakfast'. Had great breakfast options, including escargot and fresh crab Benedict.

The elevators are small and slow. which made uber timing a bit difficult some times on a busy weekend like the one I visited on- especially from the 10th floor

Wow! I was blown away by our recent stay here. The hotel has a very relaxing modern vibe. The staff were so friendly, up-beat, talkative and helpful. We checked in with Emma at the front desk. She was patient, attentive and was doing an amazing job with a busy lobby. Our room was spacious and clean with a great view. We brought our dog and had no problem finding areas to walk her. The free wine happy hour was a nice touch! The Lady Bird staff was friendly and helpful! We had breakfast the morning we were leaving and the restaurant and the manager and our waiter were superb. They made my daughter feel special and gave her a surprise at the end- chocolate croissants to take home. Lastly, Josie Forde, at the front desk, a true angel! I left a very expensive item in my room and when I called she took my info. and called me right back to confirm she had it and that it was secure in her office, she was so helpful in getting the item returned to me. We cannot wait to come stay again!

Great location, street parking, easy to Uber to sites and restaurants. Great coffee,wine hour, and friendly staff.

Overall hotel was great, but hotel rooms have flooring and should be mopped daily. Overall everything was very clean, just mopping was lacking.

I made a reservation of 1 room through booking.com with breakfast included in the hotel rate at Kimpton Banneker hotel at IHG in Washington DC for myself and my husband and son (11 years old) for 2 nights from August 22- 24, 2023. (Booking confirmation # 2492849753). Before arrival i tried to reach the hotel twice via booking.com.messaging platform. But received no response to both of my questions.
When we arrived at the hotel this appeared to be the worst experience i have ever had with the hotel stay. When we checked in on August 22nd the hotel manager requested deposit of 300 USD handed our keys and explained that we can enjoy free coffee and drinks during certain hours.
When entered the room, the beddings in the room appeared not clean (there were spots and hairs all over the sheets). We notified the hotel and they promised to change it.
The following morning on August 23rd during the breakfast we had been told that there is a limit on breakfast which is 25 usd per adult and only for 2 adults each of which can order only 1 meal, and that our son can eat only from either of my or husband' s meal. All meal in excess of 2 meals, are chargeable. There was nothing about this limitation term in our booking confirmation. I tried to explain this to hotel representative (she introduced herself as Myra), however she did not want to listen us, was interrupting me and in an agressive way explaining that all this terms are on our web site. She said that we could address this to her manager which would be in the hotel at 10 am. But eventually agreed to handle us voucher so we can order 1 meal for breakfast for my son but only once. Neither at 10 am or other time during the day the manager was on sight at the hotel to clarify the issue.
The next morning on August 24th we tried to clarify the breakfast issue with the manager. But he was not there again.
