Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price
I stayed at this hotel with my family and, unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. To start with, the room wasn’t even ready for my husband when we arrived, which was frustrating after a long trip.
The restaurant service was extremely slow, and the food itself was quite poor in quality—not what you’d expect from a place charging this much. Speaking of the price, the hotel is very expensive for something so simple.
There’s really nothing to do around the property—only one restaurant, no entertainment or extra amenities. Room service took forever to arrive, and overall, the service throughout the hotel was lacking.
We were also unhappy with how they handled the charges. They overcharged us on the deposit, and to make things worse, they charged the full stay to my husband’s card days before we even checked out, not at check-in like you’d normally expect. That felt unprofessional and surprising.
Definitely not a place I would recommend, especially for families. There are much better options out there for the same or even lower price.

The location was perhaps the best part of the hotel. Very walkable to the Metro, restaurants, and the Capitol. The amenities may need to be reconsidered. It is a beautiful hotel with rooms that are very well appointed however there is construction in the lobby check in area and there is no pool. The workout facilities are excellent, including a yoga studio but without a pool or made for few things that I could do for my staycation.
I tried the restaurant for breakfast and it was lacking. For it being billed as a French Patisserie, I expected my tea to arrive in a tea pot, not a hot cup of water with a bag and a lemon. I expected the breads to be freshly baked but they did not appear to be much different from what can be ordered from a grocery. All was edible but not quite what expected. For the hotel to really move up a notch, I’d expect a better restaurant and access to a pool or spa.
Lastly, I requested a quiet room, the room was not as quiet as I had hoped and in the morning of my check out, the custodians were waiting in the hallway for people to check out. I’ve never been to a hotel where I was asked if I was checking out so they could begin cleaning the room. I felt it a bit rushed.
Overall, it was a very clean hotel with nice touch points in the room and great service but not enough amenities.
