We stayed here two nights as an emergency stay during Hurricane Helene. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Bedroom area of the room seemed fine enough. Beds were smaller than expected, and the pillows were lacking. The bathroom area was very unclean. Our first rooms toilet was leaking from the toilet ring, so much so, that when you stepped into the bathroom, water seeped up through the flooring. The baseboards were soaked and unattached from the wall. This wasn’t a “new” problem. The shower head was a moldy-crusty mess; you definitely didn’t want water running through it and then washing over your body. There was caked-on dust all around the room: the towel racks, the hairdryer, the AC unit including the vents and filter. We were moved to another room for the second night and it was just as unclean as the first, with an additional blanket waded in a ball in the bathroom sink area.

It was worst experience in a motel I ever had.
First, no elevator that should have been mentioned in the ad. Isn’t that an ADA requirement?
The refrigerator was leaking water, I put a towel under it.
And the worst, there were bugs !!! I saw four, killed two, one got away, one near the ceiling.
I didn’t have much choice because of the hurricane, and they were full as far as changing rooms . The hair dryer blew a fuse, and staff said don’t plug in too many things, hair dryer was all I used.
They knew a hurricane on the way, they should have had pest control before the place filled up. Some neighbors were there also, and said to me, “There’s bugs in here.” Had to get out by 11:00 am, believe me, I left around 7 am !!!
I want a refund ! I don’t mind a simple place, but should at least be clean and know bugs !!
If I don’t get refund, this will be all over social media.

My husband is a smoker and he liked idea he can smoke right outside the room and there was where to place after smoking so that was a plus...Another part he enjoyed was the shower it was nice and big and water was nice and warm like he likes it...Overall we will be returning and would stay here again....Rm 223...
