Overall nice place, convenient location.
Positives:
The KIMPSTON EPIC Hotel pool and use of cabana was a lovely experience. I ordered food from the menu at the bar by the pool and it was delicious. I went to the JITG Festival for Saturday and Sunday. The hotel staff have a happy hour of free wine in the reception area so I made the most of the happy hour on Sunday and went to the festival afterwards so was absolutely great!

Positives:
The Starbucks inside the property was nice. My kids thought that the lobby was modern and mistakenly thought that our room was going to be nice based on the lobby.
Negatives:
Right away at check in our experience was disappointing. I chose this hotel because it was the cheapest in the area, and the pictures were nice;deceiving, however). I chose the room with the view of the fireworks for a surprise for my kids to start off our vacation with an exciting touch. Upon checking in we were informed that they had given our room away and insisted they were upgrading us to some “wellness room “. There was nothing special about this room. In fact, our toilet didn’t flush. Since we were only there one night and since we had driven 10 hours to get there, we didn’t ask to change rooms. The room was outdated and didn’t look like the pictures online. After settling into our room we went out to dinner. We had noticed when we were pulling into the property that it was in a bad part of town, but we discovered just how scary the area really is. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Positives:
Modern hotel w/ multiple key card access doors making parking easy. Ability to set own room temperature is great. The lobby looks very nice and clean and is a great place to hang, the Starbucks is an added bonus.
Negatives:
The hallways are unclean and A/C is dialed to 11, it's frosty. I also wasn't too keen on the immediate hustling from the "welcome package" guy trying to get my info and doing his "free stuff, if you sit through a presentation" spiel. Immediately after check-in is not the right time for this.

The room was nice and it was close to where we needed to be for our adventures.
Negatives:
I called down four different times asking for housekeeping to bring us toilet paper and clean wash cloths and towels. The first time I called it was 3pm. I had to call four times. They did not arrive until almost 10pm. This is unsanitary.
