Well, I stay at the Holiday Inn in Lake City often because I’m building a house in Lake City, Florida but this was my worst day. I had called ahead and requested the elevator on this left side of the bar. The young lady gave me the elevator on the south side and when I told her I had called she appeared to be agitated with me. Saturday morning at 8:45 AM housekeeping knocked on my door to see how I left my room check out time is at 11 o’clock. I am over the road truck driver I never get to sleep in the housekeeper proceeded to say. In the hallway come on people let’s get moving. Everyone needs to get up. Let’s get moving. I was outrage horrified for the kind of money I pay for someone want me to leave my room at 8:45 AM.

Very clean motel. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The motel is close to restaurants and the exits.
Negatives:
The room was a little pricey for a one night stay. If my family and I are staying in the area for 2+ days, this motel would be a good option. The breakfast policy was confusing. When we booked, it stated breakfast was included, and it was not.

The lobby was very pretty. Staff was always friendly.
Negatives:
There were planes in the walls that it looked like they had patched holes in our room and didn’t smooth out paint it. Our shower had a lot of these areas. The ac unit in our room was not kid friendly or look safe. It looked like someone had beat it with a baseball bat or something. It was also very noisy outside the hotel and we heard every little noise all night. I couldn’t sleep.

First room smelled so bad that we requested to move to another one. The 2nd room was filthy. Pillow had makeup on it and bed comforter was full of dog hair and yellow stains. Pull up sofa was very uncomfortable that you could feel the springs. We got there too late whit no other option or place to go

Encountered traffic accidents that prevented us from reaching the hotel. Called htl enroute to keep them posted of the issues- final call was at 1:30 a.m- still 2 hours away and my 2 grandchildren (4 & 5 y/o) had enough travel time over 11 hrs.
Negatives:
Spoke to Eric @ hotel who assured me that due to circumstances there would be no charges assessed.
