The staff were very friendly and always available and helpful. The free breakfast was outstanding and better than any restaurant. The pool was clean and the grounds were well maintained. The room was nice and big and very clean. There was ample parking right outside our room. We had a nice balcony with a sitting area and nice clean chairs. Great Wifi, tv, room lighting. There is food available 24/7 in the reception area. Tons of towels and beach towels. Reliable like all Hampton Inn's, that's why we stay there when we travel.
Negatives:
The shower needs a little work. The handyman needs to attach the hand held shower head better to the wall, it was leaking and coming out of the wall. It would be nice to have a couple plates, spoons, forks, knives, cups (not paper coffee cups) in the cupboards. We had take out and had to eat with our fingers. We do know we could have walked to the reception area to get some plastic silverware, but just a couple packs in the room would be nice. It was just a little pricey, but we were there to see our son and grandkids for our once a year visit so we didn't mind.

It was extremely dirty, dusty and it smelled bad. It was very dissapointing because it was supposed to be a comfortable time in Marathon. We could not sleep well, the bathroom was dirty and the whole place smelled terrible. To top it off the pool was disgusting. We wanted to have a relaxing time but it was impossible.
