Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel

Negatives: The hotel should have indicated they were undergoing refurbishment and I would have opted to go elsewhere. I think the ethics of not doing so are questionable. The carpet smelled of dirty feet and housekeeping merely used spray to cover over the odour. The safe was located above the wardrobe, only accessible by someone over 6 feet tall, which is absurd and impractical for going to the beach (see photo). The latch on the door was not securely fastened and was never repaired despite my having reported it twice. The toilet seat was not securely attached, despite my having reported it. Room 212 is in a terrible location near the elevators, so I could hear it ping every time someone got out.

Negatives: Bath room was too small. Also the room were not done when we arrived and usually after 5 pm, which was too late. On other matters, reserving bicycle that were complementary was a nightmare as the location is handle by a private company.

Negatives: Lobby is average Poor conditions of common areas Require rénovation Fire alarm failure at night - 6 Times - management was unable to manage properly. Didnt get a refund or even an apology

Negatives: We rented a beach cabana. Condition was poor. Needs replaced.

Negatives: Bathroom too small. Valet parking very expensive $52 per day & no alternative !

Negatives: We asked many times over many days to have our sheets changed and kept getting told it would get done and took way too many times and two days of asking before it was done. The food was ok but overpriced for the value
