The shuttle people were great. The front desk assistants were really nice. I got there very early, and they had a lock room for my bags. The gym was good size for a hotel gym. There was some refrigerated/freezer food that you could buy. It was pricey but probably what you would pay for at a gas station food. Also, there was free laundry facility onsite.
Negatives:
There was a leak from the ceiling. I booked 2 queen beds. Got a queen bed and a pull-out sofa. Spent extra on the "Suite" because it said it had a hot tub in the room. There was a hot tub on site, but it was roped off with caution tape. I felt like the room description was really misleading and was disappointed by it. The front desk said they were aware that the website was out of date and didn't match the room's description. There was a chair that looked like a dog chewed on it. I asked to speak to the manager. The desk person told me he wasn't there. Then he gave me the manager card and told me he will not answer. They did offer to give me a refund, but I used their shuttle and didn't have a way to get to another hotel. They then gave me $50 off. And in the morning, when we went to use the shuttle back to the airport, they asked me if I booked one. They did not mention at any point that I need to do so, which was really frustrating. Especially since they told me just to call when I got there for the shuttle to pick us up. Overall, the room was nice, but not what I booked. I felt like it wasn't worth the price I paid.

Family of 3, Booked for 1 night for cruise leaving out of Miami. It was a 20-30 minute (straight shot) drive to the Port of Miami. I got a 1 bd room with a pull out couch.... Perfect for us.
I love the Sonesta Hotel no matter what city or state I travel too. You get your money's worth.
Negatives:
I was "charged" twice. The front office said the first charge which was the day before check-in, was to hold my place. It will be returned after check out, but of course this happened over the weekend. Banks are closed. So it will take longer for the refund. I've been booking with booking.com since 2016. I've NEVER had to do that, not even with Sonesta in different cities or States.
So just be aware in Miami you will have double pending charge. I think they should bill you for half the room price, and then charge the rest a check-in
