Positives:
Standard fare from Hilton with a well presented and equipped hotel. The room was spacious and clean although the black out blind had escaped its runners.
Negatives:
On check in there was no mention of a $50 temporary charge to my credit card which, when travelling from the UK and having paid up front in pounds sterling, gave me cause for concern when I checked the sign in info. It would have been simple courtesy and professionalism to mention this to customers IMO. It was slightly exacerbated by the fact that reception could not initially find my booking.
When I tracked back to reception to query the charge it was simply stated that this was policy. Clearly I am expected to know this.
I was also mistaken in thinking the hotel was in a better location with access to more restaurants and shopping. It appears most of this is work in progress with the area largely built but not yet occupied.

We have stayed here many times on a stop to Miami cruise. Our room was nice but the view was obstructed by a really dirty window and the staff acted like they were doing us a favor when I asked for a vie. We have always had exceptional service and even a free drink with our small plate but it seemed this was not given.
Negatives:
The staff was condescending and smart when I said I asked for a good bed and a nice view. She did give us a room on the lake but the window was so dirty you could not see out of it. They were having a wedding ? But the hotel was not full. The bar was taken over by these people so we went to the cheeses cake factory instead of having a drink and a small plate at the hotel.
