Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Augustine Beach Oceanfront Resort

Negatives: It was a bit pricey and they don’t allow you to self park your vehicle.

Negatives: Nothing

Negatives: Beach front type. It’s not THAT close to the beach and our room opened up to the foyer, not the beach but not too many complaints. I wish it had room service. The hallways also smelled a little odd

Negatives: The mandatory $39/day valet parking was ridiculous. We were not aware, and you are given no other option. The dresser in our room had sand in the drawers, and the walls were be very thin, so you could hear the neighbors’ conversations. This is a very busy hotel, and we were there over Labor Day weekend. It might be better at quieter times.

Negatives: The beach was destroyed 2 years ago from hurricane. So they are currently under construction, dreadging sand from ocean floor & rebuilding the beach and dunes at night, and most is unexcessibile. So it takes a very long walk to reach the Atlantic Ocean. I was looking forward to swimming in the Ocean but was impossible with heat to walk a mile to swim. Not Embassy Suites fault because it is the entire coast of Anaststia Beach is under renovation.

Negatives: Only valet parking

Negatives: Access to the shoreline was encumbered. View from the room was depressing with dirty area just outside the windows and a flat rooftop with not even a view of the street below. The shower was dangerously slick with no tub mat, reading lights over the bed didn’t work, areas in the bathroom showed rust along with areas outside the windows. We were disappointed with handicapped parking options (only two) and lack of details at booking regarding fees-$39 for parking, $75 for pet, $22 for resort fee were not revealed at time of booking. Such charges should be made clear at the outset, rather than just a note that some fees will be charged.
