The hotel was under construction which was not portrayed by booking.com so it was a bit loud and a mess. Have stayed previously and enjoyed. Would have stayed in a different hotel had I know. It was under construction.

Hotel was being remodeled, the hallway we stayed on was covered in plastic dust everywhere and construction workers started work at 730 all weekend ( Saturday and Sunday) we enjoyed St Augustine night life and woke up to hammering and a literal jack hammer less than 6 feet from our door.

This Holiday Inn should not be open!
Most all of the floors and Greeting /Check In area is being renovated. Plastic sheets everywhere. Have only one functional elevator!
Have to carefully steer your way through construction stuff to get to the only working elevator!!
No Gym or facilities. Foyer bare and no service. Only a stern clerk working the counter …Entry doors don’t lock and barely close shut …our room keys don’t work properly and doors do not shut without pushing shut. Curt receptionist who obviously gets complaints from most guests. They should refund anyone staying here and definitely not the service you expect from Holiday Inn !!
Holiday Inn has a history of hospitality and inviting service … one of the first chain hotels that served travelers back in history !
This hotel chain should NOT BE OPEN FOR SERVICE until IT IS COMPLETE And complete for guests.
