Sirata Beach Resort

Negatives: When we said something to management about our issue they only offered to refund us our parking which was 25$ a day.

Negatives: Room did not always get cleaned. Had to seek out staff for toilet paper, garbage bags and clean towels. There was not enough pool towels for all guest. Also don’t feel for price of resort fee there was much included.

Negatives: Wrong room provided at check in and told could not accommodate correct room for 2 more days- facilities dirty- sink and tub gross. The bedding had holes in the sheets. I was wondering why they would even put that on a bed? Seriously? We called multiple times for sheets for pull out bed, never came. No pool towels were available on any day of stay and we were told “sorry, but they couldn’t help it.” So we went to Target to buy our own towels. Restrooms in main hotel were dirty and did not have toilet paper or paper towels. The only coffee available was in the gift shop and the lady in there acted like it was such an inconvenience to make it. Then at check out, they insisted on charging me for every night of my room, tax, and resort fee although I had pre- paid for all of that on booking.com. They fixed it, but it took a while. The property was very dated, but cleanliness should never be compromised. For the 5 star price I felt we paid, it was more like a 1 star. Spend the extra few bucks and stay at the Don.

Negatives: Dirty! You had to pay to use the chairs on the beach and the rooms were very expensive

Negatives: Construction - Started at 8 AM everyday right above our room.

Negatives: Cockroaches appearing in our room at night - we purchased two cans of RAID to exterminate ourselves! The sliding glass door did not seal - 1/2" gap on one end. The room was not cleaned every day. We were required to move rooms in the middle of our 7 night stay as they were renovating the first room but this was never disclosed to us when we checked in.

Negatives: Everything was so outdated and old the rooms smelled bad and the furniture were all stained and addition to that the playground was broken not safe for kids. Also the pool table and foosball table was missing parts so on a rainy day you couldn’t use those. I’m sure Sirata can afford to update those things.

Negatives: Everything including the beach, grounds and weather was a perfect 10! Easter 2024 will go down as one of the best ever!

Negatives: The maid service was awful. Our room floors were never cleaned. We had sand build up and our feet turned black. We tipped the maids and I don’t think they cleaned anything. Not only were the floors filthy but they didn’t clean countertops. They didn’t leave enough towels on a few night and we had to call and get more. I didn’t like how chair rental at the beach was sneaky about adding an automatic 8% gratuity and a 10% service charge and then had a space for a tip.

Negatives: This hotel has continued to go down over the years... it is not managed very well and it is dirty and in disrepair.
