Negatives: 1. The (lack of) cleaning: daily cleaning of the room is not automatic, nor is changing the sheets. We found out mid-way through our stay when we asked for cleaning and were told “it wasn't our day.” They said they notified us at check-in- their policy is printed on a looseleaf piece of paper but was not verbally communicated to us. After driving six plus ours and arriving close to midnight, we missed the chance for cleaning until we enquired. Gross. 2. The business room is an off-shoot of the lobby, and not an enclosed space. If the lobby is loud (as it is frequently, due to both guests and hotel staff), working is challenging. You can rent the boardroom but even tracking down the rate was challenging. The rate felt high. 3. No hot water kettle for tea in the room. You can get hot water in the lobby. 4. The staff was hit or miss. Some were quite pleasant (those at breakfast), some were defensive and unhelpful. Eventually, I found people willing to help me solve issues. 5. The front desk is frequently unstaffed. And not just because an employee is off on a bathroom break as was suggested to me. More than once, I called and no one picked up. When that failed, I walked down and no one was there. I had to knock loudly on the attached office door to get attention, or wait. More than once, I gave up. I understand, and was told, that this property was understaffed. They seemed to be taking steps to hire new people. My overall impression: decent value but they are not ready for primetime. I will not return.

Negatives: A bit noisy in the morning with doors shutting and cars/motorcycles in the parking lot

Negatives: There was a roach in my room, there was corn flakes by the bed alot of dust accumulation on top and around the microwave and tv. The bedding looks like housekeeping never changed it there's a lot of mold areas and water spots in ceiling, hair was in the shower stains on the carpet in hallway and room. If you ask me this hotel needs to retrain staff needs renovation. The food prepared was exceptional the breakfast was very friendly and helpful While I observed her preparing everything i observed her cleanliness and the only one with great customer service. The cereal was stale and the milk was expired which my kids were eating. Overall this hotel gets a 4 out of 10. I usually go to Hampton which after this experience with this hotel I will run to
