Positives:
The pool area looked nice, but we weren't there long enough to use it. All the people we passed staying there and at the local convenience store were friendly.
Negatives:
The location of the hotel and condition of the room's ceiling, walls, and floor were sketchy. There was a language barrier with the clerk. Our non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. The mattresses seemed old. There was no mini-fridge or microwave.

The bed was good. The room was mostly clean. We didn't eat the breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room location was good for us. Not far from the vehicle and on ground floor. We were right by the pool, but it was still quiet.
Negatives:
The place needs an update. It is run down. The pictures in the advertisement are old pictures. The plumbing in the bathroom didn't work well. The sink drained REAL slow! The toilet flushed, but was weird and sometimes it just sat there after you flushed and you had to flush twice. The staff while friendly, didn't speak english very well. They were very hard to understand. It would be nice in this country if our own citizens got the same break a foreign born non-citizens! We were passing through and on our way back, we made a point to not be at that La Quinta. La Quinta used to be the place to stay, clean, nice room, and good value. Not lately!

They gave us a handicapped room with a handicapped parking space. We are not handicapped. Had to park farther than the room. The shower leaked onto the floor and there was a dead palmetto bug in the room. There was no dresser only broken furniture. It was terrible.
