I thought I was lucky to have booked such an overachieving hotel stay and would absolutely stay again if I needed to be in Tampa again. I received a substantial discount over the typical rate - probably because the hotel was completing a major renovation.
Negatives:
The caf inside the hotel was not much to speak of, charging bogus fees for what should be no charge, like napkins and milk in your coffee. I avoided it and was very disappointed. The bath products had a fine scent but not a safety rating (phthalates etc

We had multiple items stolen from our room. We had to contact the police and were informed that this same type of incident happened over a month ago and happens frequently. Do not stay here especially with kids! They dont have cameras on floors.

I checked in & was told the 2-double bed room I reserved was not available. I was offered a king room with a pull-out couch. A few minutes later I was offered 2 king rooms at no extra charge- As I called customer service, an appropriate room was offered.

They charged a $100. fee and credited back $24.75. The $75.25 charges were not disclosed to us until check in time They say the charges are for a complementary shuttle service ,a $15 charge to be used at their caf or coffee shop, & free bike rentals.

Under construction Fire alarm went off 2 of my 3 day stay @ 8:15 am and had to evacuate. Construction dust set off alarm twice. None of the staff seamed to care as guest ran around halls and down stairwell in their pajamas. "it happens all the time"

The hotel was close to the concert venue and the reason I booked here. They offered a free shuttle to the concert which was awesome. There was also a Domino's across the street open after the concert which was perfect!

Our room did not have hot water for a shower which was beyond annoying. It barely got luke warm and when we called about it we got brushed off by several people. One even said "You're on the 9th floor it just takes awhile have patience".

The hotel was under construction. I had to get and take around to back of the building (homeless lived)to get a valet cart and pick up my luggage to walk around the whole hotel. I ordered in the bar area a steak in which took over an hour and no bread too
