Staff was unfriendly. We had cold water showers both days we stayed there. thumbs down. We asked about some credit and the manager grudgingly gave us a small discount (to make the price what booking.com provided) and no more.

Cold water showers. Unfriendly management
Positives:
Property was updated and facilities were nice although we were only there for 1 night as a place to sleep after taking a red eye to Tampa airport.
Negatives:
Our room was 15 degrees warmer than the thermostat was set. it was warm and muggy when we walked into the room at midnight after a red eye flight, so we turned on the AC set at 60 and the temp in the room didn’t change. We were cranky and exhausted after our flight so took cold showers and settled in. I let the front desk know of the temperature issues but we were exhausted so figured we’d give it time to see if it adjusted. The bed was tilted down towards the headboard which made sleep extremely difficult. When we woke up, the room temperature hadn’t changed at all. Walking just into the hallway was a breath of fresh air. The smoke alarm on the wall flashed all night. The automated blinds didn’t work so we were stuck with blackout curtains. Hot water was scarce in the morning so we took cold showers again. The shower leaked out onto the floor and soaked everything. It was a rough night.

Deceiving updated property.
Positives:
The property is clean and appears fairly new.
Negatives:
The price displayed on Booking was listed as $157.03 which stated includes taxes and fees. When I checked out I was emailed a the final bill and they charged my card $218.09. Which was significantly more than the quoted price and we had no extra that should have been added to our bill. This hotel also was poorly managed when it came to the offering of coffee and breakfast. The all day coffee was cold as was the hot water. They had no individual coffee creamers and when asked they said sorry all out. The breakfast was sitting to long in the warmer as the omelette was stuck to the pan the sandwiches were old and the staff was not around. When we were leaving the maids were there and they had hundreds of creamers to be put in the rooms yet the front desk staff was not interested in finding any creamers. I have stayed at other Home 2 Suites and never encountered any of these same issues. We arrived for breakfast at 7:30 a.m so it was not like we arrived at the end of their 10:00 am shut down. I believe the price quoted and price charged is bait and switch and I will think twice before going to another Hilton property even as an Honors member since 2008.

Everything was wonderful, large spacious rooms and very clean. Loved the little kitchenette area and the fact that they had hot beverages anytime someone wanted a nice cup of tea or coffee. Definitely will stay here again!
Negatives:
Two things that were a little bit of an inconvenience was the lack of cooler air coming out of the actual air conditioning unit in the room, it felt more so like a fan circulating. Second thing is the automatic shades were not moving when using the control panel which left little to no natural light into the room.
