This is not up to the Hampton Inn standards that we are used to. It is outdated, dingy and needs a renovation.
We left after a few hours and did not stay the night.
Negatives:
Both elevators had pet urine on the floors and stains on the floor in the hallway. Our room was small, the beds were not soft and “heavenly”, the comforter was stained and not cozy like other Hamptons, no bathroom fan so the room stayed hot and humid, the air did not work well, a dog was barking - why are animals allowed???? Outdated. The staff did not offer a different room and the elevator floor was still nasty hours after we told them about the urine puddle. We decided to check out and go elsewhere. Not to normal Hampton standards.

Breakfast was not up to par. Biscuits were as hard as a rock literally. They were not edible. No gravy anyway. Scrambled eggs were good. No bacon no link or patty sausage.
Had a pretty good waffle and coffee. For the money we paid we were very disappointed with the breakfast. Sorry but you asked. Planned on stopping on the way back but changed our mind

The hotel was very close to a wedding I attended. Also, close to the historic district. I did walk around and enjoy the older and well maintained buildings.
Negatives:
The only thing I would change in the room is take out the carpet. Although the carpet was clean with no odors, as someone with allergies, it would be less likely to harbor the unknown and smells. Also, easier to clean.
