The location was good for the purpose of the trip. The facility was clean. The breakfast attendee was friendly and ensured everyone was taken care of.

Our room was clean, but the toilet continued to run. We had to continue to flush it to get it to flush and listen to a running toilet all night. Some of the TV remote buttons didn't work. We tried calling the front desk but there was no answer.

When I made the reservation I added with the reservation request, the communication that we were arriving with a dog. Being a pet friendly hotel, I figured there was no problem, but I felt it was fair to communicate this in advance. To be further sure that there were no pet fees, I also sent a message to the hotel asking if there were any surcharges for the dog. No response came back. Upon checking in, I was told that there was a $50 pet fee and that they had not received any message from me about it.
I had to pay the $50. The day of my departure, I got the reply message where they said about the pet fee. That means they had received it and replying on the day of check out is definitely useless.
I will no longer be a guest of this hotel chain, because thankfully in other hotels they are far more transparent with communication. Also, so many hotels do not add fees for dogs or, if they do, they do not exceed $25 (see for example La Quinta by Wyndham where we stayed the next night.)
