I absolutely love the staff. Alexus and Micheal are the absolute best!!!! This was our second time in a month coming to this location. My husband and I live in GA but have date night every week!! The Kimpton has become our weekend place to stay when we go to the city. Malcolm was awesome as well. We love this place!!!!

Fun, stylish hotel with great...
Positives:
Even though coffee/tea is not available in rooms (can be requested if you really need that), the lobby coffee service is thoughtfully and aesthetically presented. Flavor was bold & strong, and there is a nice selection of upscale teas and fruit infused water.
Front desk staff was wonderful and always acknowledged when a guest left or returned to the property. The lobby was super zen and a lovely space to relax and decompress with a big fireplace and beautiful coffee table books. Breakfast at "The Betty" was also a pretty space with excellent service and upscale breakfast entrees.
The rooftop bar offered a nice view of the surrounding area.
Negatives:
We rented a car. Although I've come to reluctantly accept that paying for hotel parking in metro cities is the norm, I didn't like paying the $50/day and tipping on top of that, every time I came and went. Since $5.00 per transaction seems to be expected, this added an additional $35-$40 to our 3-day stay since we came and went a couple times per day. If I were handicapped, it would be a needed service, but our car was literally a :45 second walk from the lobby. The hotel should have a designated lot for hotel guests with car rentals to come and go as they please with a dashboard window pass. Another upscale hotel we've stayed at only charges 35/day and we can park in the hotel garage. Another big hotel charges $50/day to valet, but also offers a self-park option for $35/day. I did speak with the manager about it, and they are working on addressing the parking situation.
Water pressure in sink could have been better, but could have just been our specific room. The water conservation device may have been turned down too low?
King Bed and linens were AMAZING. Soooo comfy with soft, cotton linens.

I booked a two bed hotel room and that’s not what I received. I was told when I book through a 3rd party I get whatever room is available. That is not accurate because it cost more to book the room that I did not receive.

The closure of the rooftop bar because of a private party. The rooftop bar was the primary purpose of the booking at Kipton. My wife and I ended up going across the street to the Thompson Hotel. Their rooftop bar was very nice.
