Negatives: The people and location.

Negatives: Many things. 1. We had to personally request for bath towels through the reception desk and ask for our room to be cleanef on three of our nights. 2. We missed out on two breakfasts because of two very early starts to the day which were out of our control - for our Diamond Head climb and our rerturn flight. We have travelled extensively throughout Europe/ Great Britain, North Africa, Asia and Austtalia, staying at hotels of the same level/class as the Hyatt Place and we were ALWAYS provided with a breakfast pack whenever we had very early morning commitments. This usually included a ham and cheese bread roll/croissant and a juice/piece of fruit. Not much to ask for but it makes a huge difference especially on long bus trips or at lengthy airport check-ins. For the money we paid for our accomodation, we were shocked that this facility was not provided. 3. The breakfast area was not only crammed most times but often slippery (hazard) and subject to the weather. We experienced discomfort on almost every morning from rain to strong winds to very hot sun Such a huge hotel yet there is no indoor breakfast room!? Breakfast should be a relaxing start to the day! 4. Only two elevators for such a massive hotel. Breakfast times were particularly difficult with long delays. Many resorted to the emergency stairwell but we were on the 16th floor. We were forced to factor in an extra two to three minutes whenever we wanted to use the lift. 5. There was no mirror or wash basin inside the bathroom/toilet. Why were they located outside the bathroom? We have never seen this before! .

Negatives: We paid for a specialty ocean view room and the room only had partial view. We pacifically booked this hotel for the view from the pictures they had online and it didn't look anything like the pictures. The pool was closed 5/7 days of the stay. it was also very disappointing in appearance. Breakfast was pretty ordinary.

Negatives: The parking was $70 valet parking only, so we parked at a parking garage across the street. It’s a little spendy, but good value for your money. The pool was also under construction so we had to use the pool down the street, which we didn’t end up doing since it was a bit of an inconvenience.

Negatives: The pool is being renovated, so but noisy during day on our balcony, but obviously this is only short term. Our room was looking over street where city buses travel, and a bit noisy at night, so we shut the door and used air conditioning.
