Located on the Upper Spokane River, this hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from Coeur d’Alene. Guest rooms feature cable TV and guests can enjoy an on site restaurant and lounge. Free WiFi is available in all rooms at the Red Lion Templin’s Hotel on the River. A microwave and small fridge are also offered. Free toiletries and a hair dryer are provided in the private bathroom. An indoor pool is available year round and fitness center is available for guest use. A business center is also provided for added convenience. A marina and private beach area is on site and the Red Lion River Queen Riverboat Cruises are also located on the property. Current Kitchen and Lounge features American cuisine and is located on site. Guests can eat at the outdoor patio, named the Flight Deck, or indoors. Positives:
Staff was attentive and friendly. The room was clean and ready with all the expected amenities. The tub and shower were a nice size and the water was perfectly hot with good pressure. We only ate breakfast at the hotel one day during our stay and it was perfect. The riverside view was beautiful and the staff made sure we were well taken care of.
Negatives:
It was snowing during our stay and the sideways were a little slick/icy going out to the parking lot but we just walked very carefully. It would of been nice to have extra blankets in the room since it was so cold out. To be fair, we probably could of requested them from the front desk but didn't since we were so tired when we got back to our room late in the evening.

Beautiful and scenic and very quiet
Negatives:
No coffee in our room. You have to pay separately for breakfast and there was none available for purchase. We were there Christmas Day so that’s why the restaurant was closed. I think breakfast should be included for that price. Otherwise the stay was satisfactory. It’s not the newest facility but very relaxing atmosphere. The gym equipment wasn’t the best. Flickering light on one of the machines. One wasn’t working at all.
